Who we are
A Grating Mill That Answers Its Own Email
Dengtai Grating is the export brand of Dengtai Staircase Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a manufacturing company based in Shijiazhuang, Hebei. We are a factory, not a trading desk: the panels and stair treads we quote are produced on our own lines, by our own team, and shipped under our own inspection reports.
We are deliberately a category player rather than a conglomerate. Every capability on the floor exists to make one product family well — open-mesh steel flooring — in the four formats buyers actually specify:
- Welded steel bar grating — the workhorse platform and walkway panel
- Press-locked and close-mesh grating — flat, fine-mesh floors and covers
- Grating stair treads — banded, serrated or plain, cut per stair geometry
- Stainless steel grating — SS304 / SS316 for food, chemical and marine duty
Buyers who need a thousand-line catalogue go elsewhere. Buyers who need grating made to drawings, from a mill they can audit and a team that replies within 24 hours, tend to stay.

The mill
A Focused Grating Mill, Not a General Fabrication Shop
Grating is what the workshop was laid out for. Forming happens in-house on forge-welding and press-locking lines; finishing, inspection and export packing happen under the same roof. No machine on the floor is there for anything else.
In-house forge-welding
Bearing bars and cross bars are set out and clamped, then every intersection is pressure-forged in one pass through the line — a single solid panel with joints that cannot work loose.
In-house press-locking
For close mesh, cross bars are pressed mechanically into notched bearing bars. No weld heat, so panels come off the line dead flat — the format trench covers and architectural floors need.
Finishing & export packing
Cutting to size, banding and tread edging in-house; hot-dip galvanizing at a certified partner plant nearby; then export packing with steel strapping and pallets, loaded to a container plan.

What these numbers mean for buyers
We publish capacity the way an engineer would ask for it: floor area, headcount, tonnage and lines, nothing rounded up. It is the scale of a focused supplier — big enough for container programs, small enough that your drawings are checked by a person, not a queue.
Small trial orders are welcome, full-container programs are planned around a loading scheme, and production runs 15–25 working days after drawing confirmation, samples in 5–7.
Quality control
Five Stages, Every Order — Told as a Story
Quality at Dengtai is not a slogan on a wall; it is the order of operations. Follow one purchase order through the workshop and you will see the same five gates, in the same sequence, every time.
The stages are anchored to practices our buyers recognize — weld inspection referenced to ANSI/NAAMM MBG 531, coating checks aligned with ASTM A123 and ISO 1461 — but the honest summary is simpler: nothing leaves the yard without paper behind it.
Goods-in: MTC verified
Every heat of Q235B, SS304 or SS316 arrives with its mill test certificate (EN 10204 Type 3.1). The certificate is checked against the order before the steel is racked — if the paper does not match, the steel does not enter production.
First article inspection
When a specification starts on the line, the first finished panel is measured against the approved drawing — bar section, pitch, overall size, banding. The run continues only after the first article passes.
100% weld visual, joints sampled
During production every panel gets a full visual weld inspection, with joints additionally sampled with reference to ANSI/NAAMM MBG 531 practice. No panel skips the bench.
HDG thickness sampling
After hot-dip galvanizing at our certified partner plant, coating thickness is verified by sampling aligned with ASTM A123 / ISO 1461 expectations before panels are released.
Final inspection, report shipped
Dimensions, marking and packing are checked per order, and the factory inspection report travels with the shipment — together with the MTC and the Declaration of Conformity your market needs.
The team
Twenty People, Four Jobs
A 20-person workshop leaves no room for passengers. The team splits into four groups, and each group owns a piece of your order from enquiry to container.
Management & export
The people who answer inside 24 hours: quotations, drawing coordination, documentation and shipping — one contact from first email to container.
Quality control
Runs the five-stage plan, holds the mill test certificates, and signs the inspection report that ships with your order.
Fabrication
Cutting, line operation, banding and tread finishing — the hands that turn your drawings into panels, first article to last.
Packing & logistics
Export packing with steel strapping and pallets, container loading plans, and the truck coordination that gets panels to Tianjin Port on schedule.
Where we sit
Jingxing Mining District, Shijiazhuang, Hebei
The mill sits in an industrial county with deep steel supply chains around it — the reason a focused grating workshop can hold material costs and lead times steady. From the workshop gate it is ~400 km to Tianjin Port, the port our FOB quotes are based on.
Orders ship worldwide: FOB Tianjin as standard, EXW or CIF negotiable, always with an itemized quote on request. Hot-dip galvanizing runs at a certified partner plant nearby, its cycle counted inside the production window rather than added afterwards.
Factory audits are welcome — on site or by video call. A supplier that opens its workshop is easier to trust than one that opens a brochure.

Why buyers pick us
Three Things Dengtai Is, Not Claims We Rent
We do not compete on age or size, and we will not invent a history to sound bigger. What we can show is structural: how you buy, what ships with the steel, and how custom orders are handled.
Factory-direct
Panels ship from our own mill in Shijiazhuang. No trading desk sits between your drawing and the production plan — one team is accountable from quote to container, and you can audit it.
Certified & tested, reports on request
CE and SGS tested, with a mill test certificate to EN 10204 Type 3.1, a factory inspection report and a Declaration of Conformity on every order. Ask for the documents — we send them.
Custom to your drawings
Welded, press-locked, stainless or treads — cut and banded to your drawings, with free drawing review inside the 24-hour quote and samples in 5–7 working days.
