A325 explained

What A325 Means for Steel Grating

A325 is a structural bolt grade, not a grating product standard. It enters a grating project through the fasteners that hold panels to steel supports. We explain the honest position here, and we produce to it.

What A325 is

ASTM A325 specifies high-strength structural bolts for steel-to-steel connections — the grade commonly used to fasten grating panels, clips and toe plates to structural steel. Today the grade lives on as Grade A325 within ASTM F3125.

Scope — fixings, not the panel

A325 is a fastener context. The grating panel itself is produced to structural steel grating practice — ANSI/NAAMM MBG 531 for standard duty. The A325 grade governs the bolts and clips that fix the panels in place.

Key points for procurement

A325-grade fixings are available as sourced companion items on request, with mill test certificates. Panels, coatings and documents are quoted together, so the fixings match the panel spec in one line item.

A325 Requirements vs Our Produce-to Position

We produce to standards — we do not claim certifications we do not hold. Here is how each A325 project requirement maps to our manufacturing position.

Load Ratings Sit With the Panel

Even when A325 fixings lead the specification, the grating panel carries its own load rating. Tell us the span and the live load — we match bar size and spacing and issue load tables with your quote.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you provide compliance and DoC documents with an A325 grating order?

Yes. Every order ships with a Declaration of Conformity prepared per ISO 17050 for the destination market, an MTC to EN 10204 Type 3.1 and a factory inspection report. Bolt material certificates for A325-grade fixings are supplied on request.

What is the difference between producing to A325 and third-party certification?

Producing to a standard means panels and fixings are manufactured and inspected to that standard's requirements. Certification is a separate third-party audit program. We state what we produce to and back it with documents and on-request testing — we do not claim certifications we do not hold.

What are your sample and production timelines?

Samples ship in 5–7 working days and mass production runs 15–25 working days after drawing confirmation, both including hot-dip galvanizing. Quote within 24 hours.
