Q235B, SS304 or SS316 arrives with its mill test certificate — EN 10204 Type 3.1 — verified at goods-in. The first of five QC stages, before a single bar is cut.
2 · Panels formed in-house
Bearing bars and cross bars become one panel on our electro-forging line, or press-locked for close mesh down to 11 / 11 mm — plain or serrated surface for your steel grate catwalk.
3 · Finish and documents
Carbon steel panels go to our certified galvanizing partner — typically 2–3 days, already inside your production window. Stainless ships bare; black ships for your site coating. Either way, MTC and inspection report travel with the order.

Q235B carbon steel with hot-dip galvanizing to ASTM A123 / ISO 1461 is the default choice for outdoor catwalks — coating thickness is checked by sampling on every galvanized batch. Move up to SS304 for washdown areas, or SS316 where chlorides and coastal salt are present.
What is the lead time for catwalk metal grating?
Samples ship in 5–7 working days and mass production runs 15–25 working days after drawing confirmation, hot-dip galvanizing included. Rush production in 10–15 days is possible with a surcharge — ask in your quote.
Can catwalk grating be supplied black instead of galvanized?
